LAST POST IN THE NEW YEAR OF 2013

Happy New Year 2013 to all paper modeller in the world. Why LAST POST ? Because as time goes by my position in the office as Export Junior Manager as per 2013 took almost every ounce of my energy for paper modelling. So that's explain for 6 month absences in my post at this blog.

Also I have CRAFT92 as my personal hobby online store that already entered 2 year after I established it on October 20,2011. So from now on I will personally updated all my rants,tips,tutorial and personal opinions only at  http://craft92.blogspot.com/ .

I will not leave paper model that's for sure,but right now I'm aiming for a better future to achieved the European paper modeller level by only built PAPER MODEL PREMIUM. So that's all folks !!! Remember DO OR DO NOT,THERE IS NO TRY !!!

PeRI Jabodetabek in Media Indonesia

Just a quick update on media coverage about PeRI Jabodetabek activity. Along with Ruang Antho, Rauf and many other PeRI members Media Indonesia held an interview at Tribeca,Central Park Mall some times during yesterday lunch. And on July 13th 2012 edition we got a nice little article on our community activities and hopefully this will bring more people to realize this wonderful hobby. Our fellow paper modeller in PeRI Jogya collaborate with Dyandra at Festival Komputer Indonesia (FKI) 2012 from June 9th till 13th at Jogyakarta. They held a booth and Papercraft Building Contest. All these images below are as per Anis Narmantika credit.

Photo Report : PeRI at ITB Hotaru Fair 2012

On June 2nd 2012, PeRI Bandung had a booth on ITB Hotaru Fair. At this event we displayed some of our completed paper models and by giving a special papercraft workshop for the visitor. Here are below are some of the photos taken during the event, courtesy of Dani Hamdani from PeRI Bandung.

PERI Malang Activities @ Car Free Day

Every week during Car Free Day event at Jln Ijen MALANG. PERI Malang held a unique exhibition to promote paper model and papercraft to local resident of Malang town. This exhibition is held weekly and thanks to their effort I think more people will understand this hobby and hopefully will be interested with this lovely hobby. Below are some the images from the activities.

Look at their passion even without table stand they can still perform the exhibition.

 And also for the participant of the small workshop they even willing to do it by sitting on the pedestrian.

Photo Report : PERI at Kompas Muda 5th Anniversary and Toys Fair 2012

On March 10th 2012 PERI was a given a booth at Kompas Muda 5th Anniversary in Tribeca Park at Central Park Jakarta. I stopped by there to see my papermodel friends after a quite a while absence from event gathering.  And here are some photos of the event. Although it only last one day, I think the event went very well bu judging almost a sell out on the paper model template that PERI sold during the event.

The next day I attended Toys Fair 2012 located at Balai Kartini, Jakarta. At this event actually PERI had a booth from 10th March, but alas in Saturday i must go work at half day so I can't see the event. Here are some photos during the event in Toys Fair that really caught my eyes was a huge LEGO display featuring Star Wars Theme.

 
And as the main attraction at PERI booth was a Optimus Prime model build by Hendrawan, our paper modeller friends from Kalimantan. 

Others than that there is one model that I really wanted to see, it was Aile Strike Gundam designed and built by Rino Liha . Yes I admitted it, I'm a Gundam Freak, so I won't miss such beauty like this one.

On December 10th, 2011 at Blok S Football Square located in Jakarta, PERI was invited to an event called SPEAKFEST 2011. In this event we with other community in Jakarta dare to say NO TO CORRUPTION !!!. The tagline for this event was "BERANI JUJUR,HEBAT !".

On November 27 2011, PERI have a nice interview from Berita 1 as the local news channel from First Media Cable TV Company. The shooting took at Rizky Feriansyah house and many models displayed from many type of paper model. The highlight of this interview I think it's  AILE STRIKE Gundam designed and built by Rino Liha. On Saturday November 19th 2011, I visited UrbanFest 2011 at Pasar Seni Ancol. And above was the main paper model attraction in our booth. The model was MSN-06S SINANJU designed by Julius Perdana, built by BETA Antoni. PERI Invited to URBANFEST 2011

PERI invited again to annually event of URBANFEST , this time we will make collaboration with PinHole Camera Community (Komunitas Kamera Lubang Jarum). Be there at Pasar Festival JAYA ANCOL from 19 to 20 November 2011, the event began at 10 AM and end at 10 PM.  

TOOLS OF THE TRADE

Above was my latest small scale paper model for PERI upcoming event at URBAN FEST 2011. Believe it or not  it only measured 4CMX4CMX4CM, including the base that I made from multiplex and ice stick cone. The model was from GPM Magazine Bonus that I had and resize it to 1:72 scale from the original 1:25 scale. And for the figure I got it from ITALERI plastic model as my other hobby. And for the TOOLS of the TRADE you can see as per below picture.
