PeRI Jabodetabek in Media Indonesia

Just a quick update on media coverage about PeRI Jabodetabek activity. Along with Ruang Antho, Rauf and many other PeRI members Media Indonesia held an interview at Tribeca,Central Park Mall some times during yesterday lunch. And on July 13th 2012 edition we got a nice little article on our community activities and hopefully this will bring more people to realize this wonderful hobby. On November 27 2011, PERI have a nice interview from Berita 1 as the local news channel from First Media Cable TV Company. The shooting took at Rizky Feriansyah house and many models displayed from many type of paper model. The highlight of this interview I think it's  AILE STRIKE Gundam designed and built by Rino Liha. I mean it's huge and very complicated. Many thanks for the host and PERI member that came, and all the photos credit to Rino Liha. PERI Semarang at Local and National Newspaper

One proud moment indeed for PERI Semarang members, on November 13,2011 their activities as Papercraft Community was reported on Jawa Pos-Radar Semarang and Seputar Indonesia. Those two names are well known and popular local and national newspaper in Indonesia.

PeRI Newspaper Article @ Lampu Hijau

On September 1st and 2nd 2011, PeRI got a special article in Lampu Hijau (one of national newspaper in Indonesia). The photo above shows snapshot from our article courtesy of Antho. I think judging from the photo they already interviewed us back all the way in November 2010 during Urban Fest 2010. But nevertheless, it doesn't matter because with this article I hope can bring more people interest in paper model hobby.

It's Done and It's Huge !!!

Finally after 6 weeks of paper model building time, my first commission job it's finished. The client asked me to built Sleeping Beauty Disney Castle in A3  glossy paper. All I have to do is juts build it, because he already printed the pattern and the instructions.

For your Information, this beautiful model already on aired at TV Show Teenlicious from Global TV on July 10th 2011. The shooting itself took at my place along side with Rauf, Antho and Christopher Ryan. The crew interviewed us on June 22th 2011. But the model itself finished on June 26th, but I manage to present to the TV crew as per below picture.

After this commission job, I already took another one from the same client.So after this I think I'm gonna break a while all my personal paper model project to focus on the commission job.

BINUS TV Interview : Warna Warni Show

On February 5th 2011 together with PERI Gathering @ Julius home in Gandul, we got a TV interview from BINUS TV for their community show Warna Warni. It was a long interview, they talked to me and Rino as PERI representation and as always they shoot lot of paper model and also shoot Roy in action by building paper toy. BINUS TV is a free Internet TV streaming  that you can access on www.binus.tv . Hopefully many BINUSIAN will follow our hobby after they watch this show.

Global TV Interview : One Cubed TV Show

On January 21,2011 after a brief interview with One Cubed TV during Urban Fest 2010, finally One Cubed TV crew agreed to interviewed PERI at my house. FYI One Cubed TV is a youth show in Global TV that broadcast every Saturday at 2 PM. This is a 30 minutes show that cover about youth culture.

The interview began around 7.30 PM , and personally I'm very impressed about how the crew set up the lighting and the camera for this show. PERI member who came to my house were Dikki,Ady Putra,Yudhi,Antho,Imam and Rauf. The star of this interview was Dikki's customized Ingram from paper-replika.com that have LED lights, I myself already taped in on the video and you can see it in here.
The crew interviewed me, Imam and Yudhi. I don't know exactly when the interview will air, but they will inform us the schedule and as soon as possible I will give you all the details.

And I want to give you the most basic information about me, when you watch the video you might think that I'm a Balinese person, but I'm not. That's was just the way I speak and I'm 100% pure Betawi.

PERI in DKI 15 (Di Kota Ini 15 Menit)

 The picture above are courtesy of Dikki one of PERI member that took picture when PERI was aired in DKI 15 on O Channel. O Channel was a local TV that covered Jabodetabek area,so only PERI members that lived in those area can watched this show. Actually it was first aired on December 06th 2010, on 12.00 PM, and re run for the whole week after that. Thank you for Dikki for letting me used his pictured in this article.

And for the picture above was the shooting activity that took on my place. The shooting was at night from 7.30 pm till 9 pm in November 26th 2010. Thanks for Christopher, Antho, Yudhie, Imam, Ady Putra and Roy who came and bring their beautiful paper models. The highlight model was a huge Ondel Ondel by Ruang Antho.  Thanks for Ms Ocha from O Channel that contact PERI and gave us the opportunity to tell more people about this lovely hobby.

PERI in Koran TEMPO

I know this already December, and as always my office is busy like hell. And with my new position my works is already up to my chin. But fear not I will keep updating this blog.

For the first post of this month I will give you another media coverage by Koran TEMPO which published on Sunday, November 28th 2010. Antho and Rauf got a night interview representing PERI with TEMPO reporter to give more people information and how to enter this lovely hobby.  And thank you for Antho by giving me permission to used his picture above.

RuangAntho @ GenFest 2010

GenFest 2010 is a festival to celebrate GenFM birthday as one of the leading radio station In Indonesia. RuangAntho invited there by KASKUS to display his paper toy Kaskus Emoticon at their booth. The event only took one day on November 07th 2010 at Plaza Barat Senayan Jakarta.

As you can see the second picture there he posed with Rauf Raphanus and along with other KASKUS officer and also the founder and admin of KASKUS (Andrew Darwis) at the corner right side of the picture. For your information KASKUS is the Largest Indonesian Community that have more than 2 million member.

Anyway congrats to Ruang Antho and hopefully there will be more event like this that can promote paper model to larger public.

Indonesia in Urban Papertoy Contest

For our upcoming event in Urban Fest 2010, Paper Replika Indonesia (PERI) are holding a PAPERTOY Contest.The event name is Indonesia dalam Urban Papertoy. Actually it's already began from October 17th 2010 and will end on November 18th. So just a reminder for you all out there who have the papertoy design skills, just upload your entry before it's too late. For your information, the winner of this contest will have their design displayed in our booth at Urban Festival 2010.

PERI @ Inspirasi Dorce Trans 7

On August 17th 2010, PERI had a small gathering at Rizky's house in Pasar Rebo. Actually I kind of lazy to go there, but because many of PERI member would like to see my first commercial paper model that I recently bought from the Internet so I dragged my self there. Arriving at Rizky's house around 9 AM the house is already crowded with many PERI member with their models also. Rauf said that the shooting will take place around 12 AM and meanwhile we're waiting I showed off my GPM Nr 40 that I bought from papermodelstore.com. Inspirasi Dorce was a morning variety show host by "unique" Dorce Gamalama. The shooting went very well and because of the rain I stayed till afternoon waiting the rain to came off. But I'm happy I dragged my self there, because Rizky gave me his old military plastic models that he longer want to build. PERI @ Lintas Pagi TPI

This month seems to be a very busy month for PERI, many events and media coverage come to us. The most recent one is from Televisi Pendidikan Indonesia (TPI) who interviewed us at Rizky's house for Lintas Pagi Weekend. PERI is represented by Rizky,Rauf,Imam,Roy, Cris and Rino. The crew shoot the interview on July 25th 2010. And as for the show you can watch it on Saturday July 31st 2010 at TPI starting 6 am. The pictures above are courtesy of Rauf who took it during the interview shooting . I'm glad that with this media coverage many people will come to know and join this lovely hobby with PERI.
